If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
I am a active user of both Squidoo and Associated Content; both are great ways to get your name and business information out there. Although I do not update either as often as I should, I wanted to share the addresses with you in case you are a member or thinking about joining. Feel free to add me to your network. My Squidoo lens is called Work from Home tips - get organized, productive, and relax; and my AC producer page is located here.
While you can make money on both, I have found that the networking and marketing of both is much more profitable, as in a search for my name brings up my AC pages at the top, which link here. If you do not yet have accounts, I suggest you join in now, it is a great way to get your links and information …
Search Engine Optimization - ETrafficJams.com

To add to the collection of advertising resources, I want to highlight ETrafficJams search engine marketing
service. They offer a unique program where you can pay by the month for search engine placement. Offering a guaranteed top 10 placement on google, yahoo, or MSN or you get the month free. While the service starts at 500.00 a month, that is not bad for a business site. Especially for the traffic that will follow from a top 10 placement. My husband has been researching SEO companies for his companies site, and I have had the pleasure of seeing some of the quotes, most of the ‘real’ companies are charging upwards of 1000 a month for this type of service. I will be adding this company to his list to research, and hopefully he will get back to me soon with the results. He has …
Site Maintenance This weekend
January 19, 2007 | Author: Eve Lester | Filed under: Blogging
Just wanted to give you a fair warning. At some point this weekend I will be upgrading this blog to the newest word press version (2.0.7) and judging from the experience I had upgrading my other blog, it may cause a few errors for a little while while I get everything sorted out. But hopefully, the second run will be easier than the first, I won’t be flying blind in this one.
Once that upgrade is complete, I am also planning a complete redesign of the blog. I am not entirely happy with the layout as of yet. Feel free to leave any suggestions or comments on the current or suggested changes!
Managing your employees
January 18, 2007 | Author: Eve Lester | Filed under: Business Advice, Technology
Once you get your business going, you may need to hire outside help, be it a sales person, tech support, or just receptionists. For any small or home business to run successfully, you will have to have a way to be sure your money is going to the right people, so keeping track of behavior and problems is a must. Manager Assistant offers an Employee Evaluation Software for you to handle this using a program. While it may not be a program you need for one or 2 employees, once you grow and have several, this is something you will want to keep around. It becomes very important when you are just starting, if you are only able to afford hiring 3 sales reps, you want to be sure that those 3 people are the best you can get, having a program that will help track metrics and …
What is LinkBaiting?
January 18, 2007 | Author: Eve Lester | Filed under: SEO and Marketing
This post is in reference to ProBlogger’s article on an intro to linkBaiting, I am not going to try to explain the definition, as he has defined it very well on his site. I mainly wanted to share this link with you as a great source of information - and if you have not been to his blog as of yet, you should add it to your reader. This is a snippet of the article for those that want a quick definition-
The term linkbaiting is a one that seems to have surfaced over the past 12 or so months and that is used by webmasters to describe a variety of practices - all of which seek to generate incoming links to a website or blog from other sites.
It is actually a difficult term to be definitive about as it covers a lot of different practices ranging from running …
