City based web directory - Grokodile

February 19, 2007 | Author: Eve Lester | Filed under: SEO and Marketing

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

When you have a website, promotion is vital, you will need to submit that site to numerous directories and search engines before you can ever dream of getting a noticeable amount of visitors. A new site called Grokodile recently started and it is of course, free to submit your site, you just find your city and state from the list and click on add/edit site, once you add your site it shows up instantly. I added both of mine to the directory in Lake City, FL. While right now, mine are the only 2 in the city, I am hoping that eventually someone else will come along, as I am really beginning to think that I am the only blogger in the area, if I even mention blogging in public, well, people look at me like I am nuts!

Our town is not yet ‘with it’. Anyway, go ahead and add your site, it is a great little site with lots of potential. It has loads of opportunity to grow, a great catchy name, and with a little work on the owners part, it could easily become the next big thing. Great work and I hope to see more bloggers in my area soon!
