Investment Opportunity - Self Storage

When you are looking for a small business, the first thing that comes to you mind may not be to invest in a self storage company, but it is a interesting way to start a business. Take Dean Brown for example, he is the president of of American Steel Buildings, they specilize in helping you set up a business of self storage buildings. Dean did an interview with Xeal Marketing, whom he hired to help him market his site.

In the interview he talks about regular people that they helped to get started in the business. One such guy was a 22 year old out of Texas that they helped by supplying the buildings and helped him get started, and now, 6 years later, he is the largest in the area. As a business, running a self storage business can be very profitable, heck, here in Lake City we have about 10 of them, and every one of them is filled up. And lake city only has about 10 restaurants anyway, so to have 10 of one business all doing well here in this town is a wonderful.

According to the interview, the startup cost are about 50,000 dollars, including land, buildings, etc. And you can be on your way to owning your won business. If you have the capital, or even better, your own land, even better, the cost can be much lower if you do not have to look for land and such. So while this may not be a ’small’ business, it can be a great home business. It is worth looking into.
