Earlier we talked about getting started working as a paid blogger. In this post we will talk about getting started as a work from home phone operator.
Phone Operator- TeleServices
This is much easier than you may think. While each company has their own requirements, you can get started with very little. The basic needs for this is going to be a land line (phone), a decent running computer with anti-virus and a high speed connection, and depending on the company, a headset. Some companies require you to have a separate line for home and work, but there are some that do not. If you have a high speed connection, you can accomplish this through Vonage or something similar.
Once you have this set up, you will start applying, some of the companies I personally have worked with are West Telemarketing and Live Ops, there are many other options, and you can learn about them on forums like this one, that separates each company into its own board. Each company varies in their pay and requirements, as well as how you get your hours.
For instance, with west, after you are hired and finish training, you will log into the system and see a list of available hours, you will then pick your hours and add them to a schedule, depending on the line you work, it could be anytime 24/7 all of these companies have different lines, due to confidentiality requirements we are not allowed to discuss the companies they work for but as an example, you may be taking orders for a popular television shopping channel. You will find alot more helpful information at the forums.
See, it is pretty easy, you can be working in less than a week if you apply at several places. And feel free to contact me or leave a comment with questions, I will help you as much as I am allowed by the companies confidentiality rules.
Another option is Medical Records Retrieval with Parameds, you can see a detailed post here about getting into that position. And later I will post about some other options for working at home.
