We discussed earlier the option of investing in property to make your home business, this opp came up at PPP today about a cool online property management software company, they are called Buildium and the software is to let you manage your investments including the collection of payments, fees, maintenance, etc. They have low monthly fees (nothing compared to the huge investment of buying the property) If I were able to invest in property I would definitely also invest in a good property management program.
If you have not yet jumped into this field, you should really consider it, it can be a very profitable and rewarding business. If I had the resources to get this done, I would do it in a heartbeat, I can just imaging buying a apartment complex or something and making it nice and homey, then renting it out to low income families. While I may not make as much as if I charged an arm and a leg, just the rewards of knowing that the people that are trying have a place to stay that is save because of me would be more rewarding than money.
The software has alot of options, including landlord edition, property manager edition, and association edition. Be sure to check it out when you decided to invest in property.
