Why I blog

April 9, 2007 | Author: Eve Lester | Filed under: What I am Doing, Blogging

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Brandon Hopkins over at Brandon-Hopkins.com tagged me to see why I blog. So, here are my top 5 reasons for this blog…. :-)

1. Meeting new people, I love going to others sites and commenting, reading about who they are and participating in carnivals and forums. Because I work from home, most of the people I know are right here, at my computer. I love getting new commenter’s and knowing that there are people out there interested in my ideas and experiences.

2. Learning new things. I learn something new everyday, be it on search engine marketing, or even on simple things like how to better check your email through the day. I am learning new things and sharing them through this blog as I go.

3. Having History; a year from now, I will probably not remember things I did today, I will be able to go back through this blog years later and be reminded of the trials and tribulations I experienced. It is also neat to go from my first days blogging just to now and see how my writing style has changed and improved.

4. Money; of course, this is one reason, between Adsense which only brings in a few dollars a day, and the sponsored posts, blogging is my main source of income right now, aside from my husbands job. By reviewing a company in my blog and getting paid for that review i am able to share my opinion, be it positive or negative, and still get paid for it. If a site requires that I say something positive and I have nothing positive to say, well, they can keep their money!

5. Someone to talk to; I have a bad habit that I like to talk, when I have an idea, I like to talk about it, brainstorm it, research it, it is great with this blog as I can just talk to you! I can tell you all of my crazy ideas and thoughts, and usually you guys will tell me if I am nuts or on the right track!

Here is a full list of the Why I blog Meme to add your name to when you have been tagged!

I am going to Tag;
1. Julie @ Julies Journal
2. Colleen @ Simple Kind of Life
3. Techie @ Smuggle Me
4. Marcus @ My Thoughts
5. Lisa @ My Thoughts Ideas and Ramblings

Those people I tagged need to make a new post featuring the 5 (or so) reasons you blog, then tag 5 others and let them know they’ve been tagged!

PS- I was amazed when I was Tagged by Brandon Hopkins, I love his blog and never thought I would be noticed, he is up there with Andy Beard and Darren Rowse in my blog idol list!
