Time Management Day 5- Accountability

earth-web-blue.jpgOne thing about blogging, you have a little bit of accountability. Take advantage of this, if you have a task to complete, or just a goal you want to work towards, tell people! Sometimes just knowing that other people know about your to-do list makes it a higher priority, heck you never know when someone is going to comment and ask what ever happened with that post right? Case in point, a while back I attempted to quit smoking, it didn’t work but it lasted alot longer than ever before because I had a group of people rallying me on. And the day I had to come online and say I failed, well, that was ALMOST enough to quit again! This method may not have worked with quitting smoking but it has proven useful for a bunch of other tasks.

Sites like 43things.com and some diet and business sites let you list your goals and keep you accountable. You can get as detailed as you want, by just posting “I want to loose 5 pounds this week” on your website, you instantly have however many readers you have knowing that is your goal, and a few of them may remember that next week, just knowing this may help you at least try to loose that weight, this way, if two or three weeks from now someone asks you, did you ever loose that 5 pounds? You can say yes, or no, but I did try, without feeling bad about yourself.
