We have been using the MVelopes budgeting program or a while now and it is helping alot- every week I put about 10% of our income into a ‘envelope’ for business expenses, like hosting etc. I would like to do more but we cant right now. I am also looking into different kinds of financial reporting software to help me this tax year, as last year was such a pain. I have been doing better on keeping receipts and such though. I cant stress enough how important it is to keep those reciepts for everything, it will really help you at tax time. Even things like paper and staples can be itemized depending on your situation. I know this year I am going to hire an accountant to do my taxes- doing them myself was way too hard with all of the non taxed income and everything! What do you use to keep track of everything you make and spend on business?
