Branching out and Growth plans

tipjar.jpgSo, I have been doing some reading in the last few days and decided I need to branch out. After all, this blog was intended to help me grow as well as help other by taking chances and letting you know how it goes. I have some plans I need to site down and implement, but I am not sure what to do at this point. As far as blog plans, I am planning on switching things up a bit, you may have already noticed, but I have begun trying to write more informative articles on blogging and business rather than what I had been doing which was just short quips of advice and tips. It started with the Time Management 101 series and I am now in the middle of a Blog Promotion 101 series. (I need to think of better names for those though!). Once I finish one I will be starting another, whether it is on affiliate programs or even a series on finding a telemarketing job, I am not sure just yet.

I am also planning on branching out in terms of income, I have really dropped down my income from paid blogging, and I didn’t realize until we were not getting that money that we needed it. I am definitely feeling the crunch financially. I have been using Google Adsense, but have not been optimizing that at all, I am about 30 dollars from reaching my first payment with them and I may or may not stop using them all together once I hit that 100 dollars, I hate to stop while I am so close. In the next few weeks I may also try to better optimize the ad placement on my blogs though, by taking a look ant what is getting clicked and where, to get rid of what is not working for me.

I do not know yet what income path I will try next, I am thinking some sort of affiliate program like amazon or something, but I have alot more research to do before I decide on that. Of course I will keep you updated here in case you are looking to start an affiliate income as well. Working from home can be very profitable, it you do it right. I am not necessarily trying to make a huge amount of money- although that would be nice of course. I am loving the learning experience, be it learning how to optimize my website, or optimizing my ad placement. I am constantly learning, I think that is why I have been so successful in blogging, I love to learn and no matter what I do on a daily basis, I learn something new everyday.

Some of the growth plans I have for this blog are to advertise more for one, in both the free and paid arena to build my readership. I am also wanting to change my theme around some, I may or may not change the whole theme, but I do have some additions I want to make, from having a little graphic with every post, like the one in the top left corner- maybe set it up so that the graphic corresponds to the category. We will see, I have lots to think about there!

It’s so true what you’re saying about learning something new every day. From the learning comes new and better ideas so I tweak my plans as I go along.
