The new blog, wordpress reworked, is doing pretty good. I’ve already had quite a few clients, and just finished with the redesign drawing. The only promotion I have done thus far is when I promoted the contest; every day at been working at promoting all three Blogs by submitting to directories and search engines, but I’m thinking about doing some offline promotion for the design blog, like getting imprinted pens or even printing up some flyers.
They had some pretty cheap ones online and if I only spend like $50.00 then just getting one redesign client from them would make it worth it. What do you think?

I have found that offline promotion can work well for websites. Flyers can definitely bring in good, interested viewers. I’d say that per click they are generally more interested than if they came via a search engine or link on another site.
However, you’ve got to do distribute a helluva lot of flyers before you see some response. That’s why I’d recommend getting the cheapest deal possible. They don’t have to look pretty, and they can be small. All you’ve gotta have is heaps of them out there with a brief description of what you offer and your URL.
I make my own flyers and photocopy them very cheaply. I can get these little strips for about a cent a flyer.
If I put about a thousand out there, I might get 10-15 clicks. But they are good clicks!
The thing to remember is: All you want the flyer to do is get them to the website. Don’t try to sell off the flyer itself. It will just be too expensive if you do that.
Hope this info is useful.
