Make Money… or a free trip?

What would you do? As a business person, I would go for the money. But as a postie, I plan on taking the free round trip plane ride offered by American Express (gotta go to Postie con!) Yes, you read right, American Express is offering 25,000 rewards points points to everyone that signs up for the Gold Rewards Credit Card, those can be used for one round trip US plane ticket, or a $250 gift card. You can also get a round trip voucher that you can turn around and sell for $350-400 on e-bay. Read the article posted about it and apply at Bankaholic; FREE Planet Ticket @ American Express.
If it were not for the desire to go to postie con, if I got approved, I would take the voucher, sell it, and buy some more advertising… maybe some clothes too! And we do need a new bed… too many choices. I am really bad at ‘pre-spending’ money before I even get it! I also noticed Bankaholic also has a great post that lists all of the CD Rates , I didn’t know they varied so much, I would be one of those people that just gets ripped off because I didn’t know any better.
It is a business card, but as Bankaholic states, anyone can apply, just put your site name in the company name field, and leave the tax id blank. It is a very good idea to have a separate credit card for your business anyway, it will save you alot of hassle at tax time, to be able to pull records up from home and business separately.
Looks like I didn’t get approved this time, my credit is in a horrid state, it was a long shot. But I am sure they are not that strict, mine is a special case- if there was a beacon score under 100 I would be it! :-)
