Home Office Health Hazards
| September 6th, 2007
Working at home, or even in a office can have it’s hazards, there is a potential for eye problems from stating at the monitor too long, as well as the risk of carpal tunnel syndrome. Along with paper cuts, weight gain, and some even say radiation.
Sounds safer than a lot of other jobs! There are ways to reduce the risk, for one, head to the eye doctor, and if you need a prescription visit todays sponsor, contact lenses online and see about getting special contacts for computer use that your eye doctor may not have, mainly any of them that help ‘water’ your eyes.
You can help prevent carpal tunnel syndrome by getting pads oft your mouse and keyboard, and if you already get some pain, go buy a wrist brace to stabilize your wrist. As for other problems, an ergonomic chair may help, I wrote about how to pick one at my Embellish your space blog.
Of all the tips, the best way to stay healthy is to take regular breaks, try to sit back and close your eyes for at least 5 minutes every few hours to help rest your eyes. Try to get up and move around every 2 or so hours to prevent leg pain.
