This is a sponsored post by Packet 8 Video phones. They are a VOIP site that offers some really neat Video Phone with their service. The first thing I thought of when I got this offer was the freelancers I just hired to do some graphic work, and the possibility of a full custom design to be ordered soon. It would be great to have video capability to talk to the designer. Not only to put a face to the name, but to add in value, I am not exactly thrilled about paying over 500 dollars to someone I have never seen.
However, the more people who get a video phone, like the Packet8 DV326, (see the picture) the more chances of me hiring someone with one. It would definitely be a selling point if a designer had one and was able to conference with me. I like that one because the phone is corded, which means I don’t have to worry about dropping it or it running out if juice! I would definitely feel more comfortable hiring someone I could really talk to, and be able to show them what I like just by moving the camera to the screen. I would love to be able to use it to call my mom and other family, if they had one too of course.
I already use Vonage Internet phones service, but wouldn’t mind switching over for the right price.
