I received a letter recently from Microsoft Adcenter inviting me to add it to part of my marketing mix. It claims to have a conversion ratio of 2.2% higher than other major competitors. Click here to signup and get $25 free; only costs you a one time $5 activation fee. (Normal with most agencies)
That got me thinking and what conclusions I drew was that some of the other larger search engines typically have more web savvy searcher’s who many of which are advertisement blind. They simply know an ad when they see it and the text doesn’t even register; I know this because I too am ad blind for the most part.
Since the majority of MSN Search / Live users are typically new computer users who are using internet explorer that came stock on their PC I’d assume the conversions would be quite decent. Also since it gets less volume then the other players the keywords would also be less I’m assuming.
Here are the 7 main reasons to try Microsoft adCenter:
1 - MSN Could give you more conversions / dollar spent.
2 - $0.05 is the minimum for keywords when rivals often start at $0.10 (Think percentages
3 - Bulk Upload tool to get started with your existing PPC campaigns
4 - Free Live Telephone Support -> (Hope I don’t need it though!)
5 - Target by demographics
6 - 11 million visitors and 19 million visitors to MSN / Sympatico
7 - Free Keyword Generator, Audience Profiler and Site Analyzer tools
I’m going to give this a shot over the Holiday Season and report back. For more information and click here for an Insider’s Guide to Pay-Per-Click Search Advertsing.

I tried using Microsoft Adcenter before they overhauled it. I found it cumbersome. Perhaps I might take another look if your experience is favorable.
