What is Entrecard and how does it work?
Entrecard is a network of business cards; you put a widget on your blog and when someone clicks on your widget you get a credit; when you click on someone else’s widget essentially “dropping your card” you earn a credit. To advertise on your widget it will cost advertisers 50% of credits your blog earns daily. So if I drop 50 cards and get 50 cards dropped on me it will cost 50 cards to advertise because 50 is 50% of 100. Wow I should have used different numbers as an example!
Why should I get Entrecard?
You should get it because it allows you to advertise without spending money on other sites by using your credits. Most importantly though it gets your name out there and on the monitor’s of lot’s of people who have never heard of your blog. Think about it most people go through search engines or referring sites as they surf the net. Now they will see who has come by and dropped a card. If your card catches their eye they will probably come and visit your site. My forum has really taken off since adding entrecard a few days ago. I’m thrilled with the service.
How Do I Best Use Entrecard?
If you want to use it to it’s potential try these tips:
1) In the morning go to a blog you like that has entrecard. Click drop your card then go to the blog that’s being advertised. Keep repeating this until you finally get to a blog that links to itself. Do this a few times in the day when nothing is happening and you normally would of obsessively checked your stats which sadly probably didn’t change much because you weren’t dropping cards 
2) Whenever someone drops a card on you; the first time they do it make sure you write a personalized greeting saying hello, that you visited their blog (you did and dropped your card) and invite them to visit your blog with a URL in the message. Since I’ve been doing this the feedback has been fantastic. Just take the time to write a good message. People can tell spammy ones from legit ones a mile a way. I recommend making a list inside your email of whom you’ve “welcomed” so you never send it twice. Sending a good letter once is smart; twice no matter how good the letter is written is bad taste.
3) Participate in the forums on entrecard. Introduce yourself and chime in a few big conversations people will click from there to you.
4) If you have something you can sell list it in the marketplace. I sell directory listings to qualifying blogs at 350ec a listing. I’ve sold two so far to great blogs that I’m glad to have in the directory and pocketed 700 entrecard credits in the process; not bad!
Final Thoughts
Entrecard is basically it’s own currency and people are selling them on ebay at a rate of $0.02-$0.06 a credit… If you don’t want to earn your credits you can also buy them or on the flip side if you don’t want to spend your credits you can sell them.
I signed up for Entrecard ~ 1 week ago probably less and so far I’ve received 280 clicks from my ec card to my site. I’ve dropped ~200 cards on people and had 400+ cards dropped on me. I’m finding bloggers and people that I never would of found.
I don’t highly recommend that many things but I really recommend you to signup for this. I’ll be adding it to homebizblogger in the next few days just been busy using the system for the forum. Add this service and you won’t regret it. Trust me!

I signed up and if I’m correct I was the one who suggested it to you wasn’t I? I hope it’s working out for you the way it is for me! I’m using it to market blogengage to bloggers and it seems to be going well! I like EntreCard and like you would suggest it to all my friends! It’s a great way to build traffic and potentially generate more reader to your blog! We all know how hard this can be and how tedious of a task it becomes daily!
