Are you looking to start marketing online? Or have you started marketing on the internet and found it to be more difficult than you thought it would be? Follow these 7 habits to your online success.
1. Have a plan. The internet offers the potential business builder so many choices, so many websites and such a vast selection of places where you could potential advertise or spend time that it absolutely crucial that you plan out the when, where, why, how, and how often of all of your online activities. It helps to write down your plan as well.
2. Have a long term vision. Know that your online success will not happen overnight. Building a successful internet business takes time, a lot of time. Many people do not realize how long it really takes. Unless you have tons of money to spend or you are offering something very unique, you will probably need to allow at least 6 months for your website to begin producing for you at a profitable level.
3. Develop more than one way of earning an income online. If you have a network marketing business, work on not only promoting your primary business, but also on promoting some affiliate programs or information products. You can write the information products yourself or become an affiliate of someone else’s and sell theirs. You can set up your sale of these products to also become a lead generation source as well.
4. Put the focus on building relationships. Even though you are not physically present with the people, you must gain their trust and make them feel like they know, like and trust you. To do this you will need to pick up the phone sometimes as well as create ways of sharing yourself with your readers and site visitors.
5. Offer value. People are very sick and tired of spam and hype. Everything you do online must offer something to others of value. Examples include: free eBooks, useful articles, free reports or interesting podcasts and videos. Strive to make at least some of what you offer unique.
6. Market and Brand themselves. It is essential that you market and brand you and not your company. Companies change and people care much more about you and what you have to offer than they do about your company. Furthermore, if you represent a company with several thousand representatives, all the other reps have the same products but no one else is exactly like you.
7. Have more than one website. At bare minimum you should have a website which is product focused, if you offer a home business opportunity then an opportunity focused website, a website all about you, at least one capture page and a blog.
Follow these steps and work on marketing online on a daily basis and you will become successful online.

Thanks for the advice, whenever I interview people on a call I like to find their goals and motivation. It’s always good to only work with networkers who commit themselves instead of people who do nothing and wait for spillover. Over half of my downline is inactive, some will quit this month after probably doing no work, it’s their loss.
