Benefits of Participating on Blogging Forums

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
This is a guest post written by a friend of mine that ironically I met at the forum named bobbytoat. His blog can be seen here.
Let’s not waste time introducing blog forums. Instead, we shall look at the 7 major benefits you will get by participating on forums:
1. Get FREE exposure and visitors to your blog
This is rather obvious, a blogging forum is an excellent place for link baiting. You can get your links noticed by discreetly inserting links of relevant posts into suitable threads, start a new discussion thread with one of your recently written articles as the point of discussion or just flaunt your links in your signature. Want to attract even more attention to yourself? Get attractive avatar and insert your feed’s headline animator in your signature!
2. You can trade and take up jobs on forums
Many bloggers who have trouble …
Thoughts on FilterMyRSS Service
March 29, 2008 | Author: Dave | Filed under: Blogging
Bloggers and freelance writers have a problem that no other set of writers has ever had to face.
Too much information.
If you’re like me, your RSS feed reader is almost embarrassing. Whenever I see a great blog or website, I subscribe to its feed, whether it be for research purposes, to get ideas for articles or just for fun.
Well, if you find yourself spending more time going through your feed reader looking for information and ideas than you spend actually implementing them, there’s a better way to do it…FilterMyRSS.
This is an incredibly simple idea that does only one thing, but does it well…it allows you to subscribe to RSS feeds in such a way as to only receive feed updates that relate to your chosen keywords. The best way to understand it is to use it, so it’s example time!
The RSS feed address for HomeBizBlogger is http://feeds.feedburner.com/HomeBizBlogger. I already …
Who Cares About Gas Prices?
March 28, 2008 | Author: Rob | Filed under: What I am Doing
Bit of a Friday Rant here. I’m just sick of everyone complaining about gas prices. Nothing like waiting in line to pay $1.50-$3 for ~500ML of coffee while hearing people cry about gasoline being $1.10 a litre. Who cares?
It’s like on th golf course people with a cigarette in their mouth stalling the game looking for a $0.25-$0.50 shag ball. Who cares?
I mean sure gasoline prices suck and you may get less for your money but why cry about it? You’re going to buy it anyways and typically inelastic goods can charge as much as they want because consumption won’t really be affected.
Anyone else feel the same way I do and say “Who cares about Gas Prices!?” I’m still going to drive to work, to my friends, to get groceries and of course golfing so why stress about it!?
Persistence Pays!

Alright just a short note today on what I’m doing even though this is getting listed under Business Advice. The more work I do for myself the more I”m realizing that one of the major differences between those who succeed and those who do not is persistence.
When faced with something you don’t want to do how easy is it to just go do anything else? It’s super easy and path of least resistance so everyone does it and you get no where.
I’ve been grinding it out lately but the results have been worth it. I”m not the type of blogger who says I made X amount and has a good time breaking it down but I will say that the cold calling campaign has been well worth it.The reason I’m writing this post is because I was feeling down about an hour ago. Nothing was really working for me; no …
Habits and Routines - Make them Work For You
March 26, 2008 | Author: Rob | Filed under: Business Advice
Habits and routines are ultimately what dominate most of us. Most of things we do are on autopilot because they are so deeply ingrained. The irony of habits is that they can literally make or break you.
For this 30 day blogging challenge I’ve been waking up and first thing writing a blog post normally in the wee hours of the morning. I get it out of the way then get into my net “routine”. Once I”m in that routine it’s hard to break away from all the things going on and spend the time to sit down and write a quality post.
Today I got off to a much different start and if I hadn’t really focused on making this post now the day would of just drifted by in my routine. The beauty of it is if I wake up on time and get to it making bloggeries is hardly …
