Yep Yep, I spent the morning before work building a blog hosting affiliate page and chatting on twitter.

The micro-blogger is here. I much prefer these constant small updates over long “authoritative” bloggeries. So I woke up at 6AM, got some Tim Horton’s coffee and a breakfast sandwich and made the blog hosting page I linked to above.

It’s bare bones but… It’s up! I’ve never known ANYONE to make a sale with a page that wasn’t up. I will probably add more hosts and add some type of reviews in the future maybe but for now it’s good. I also added it into the navigation of the site so people can find it. It’s under Resources which isn’t the best place for visibility. It’s good but not the best but I can’t justify giving it a better spot at the moment. Time will tell and who knows where this will go but remember you’ll miss every shot you don’t take. When time is on your side why not take a few shots?

Let’s see over time how much this ~1 hour of work will produce for me. Probably more then the average hour spent online or in a day job.

Affiliate Fun Times

| April 24th, 2008

It’s weird how affiliate marketing is one of the best forms of passive income. Make a page and do some on and off site optimization today and boomshakalaka you might be getting $ while you sleep for life if your site stays active and keeps ranking for a term that people will always need to solve.

Oddly registering for affiliate programs and putting pages together is boring and maybe that is why more aren’t doing it. It’s crazy how many of us would rather work 9-5 for 40 years instead of independently for ourselves on our time own time.

In life nothing is free and you will pay for what you get. You can pay now with discipline or pay with interest many times over in the form of regret. If you don’t care about trading most of your adult life for a check then this doesn’t concern you and I can’t help but ponder what the heck you’re doing on this blog?!?!!

I’ll announce what I made when I made it but yes yes yes it’s blog related and a page on bloggeries. That’s it for now but ask yourself; what have you done to better your financial position for yourself today?

Micro Blogging is like Blogging for those with ADD; preferably ADHD and I love it! When it comes to micro blogging seems like the service I mentioned last update Twitter is the mecca.

I like micro blogging because you don’t need a “topic” or any intro, body or conclusion to it. Micro bloggeries are simply a random thought, statement, announcement, whatever. You can blog about the weather in one and then talk about some seo bloggeries you found recently in another. I like how twitter limits you to 140 characters as it constantly reminds us to put the message and not drown it with filler. Another part I’m loving is how you comment back and forth through replies in real time. I’d best describe it as a massive im where you subscribe to peoples feeds but they reply in real time a lot of the time.

I’ve made about 192 micro bloggeries in the last day but I often don’t post bloggeries here for a few days at a time. I think I might even turn this place into a micro blog where I try not to exceed 500 or 750 characters a post. Keep to that regiment except for the odd extensive ones whenever they comes out.

Methods of blogging are ever evolving and as more methods are discovered, used and accepted it opens the doors for people to explore these new types of media. I think I’d like to subscribe to a feed say on SEO where someone who is “in the scene” publishes their latest posts and all the bloggeries they’ve read recently from the blogs they subscribe to.

If you aren’t on twitter yet I think you should be. Follow me and I’ll gladly follow you. I think to get the most out of one of these you should subscribe to as many people as you can. You can always remove someone who sends crap through the feed but if you don’t subscribe how will you possibly learn something? I think a good number of people to follow is say ~1000+. Once following that many people I think you’ll get a good sample; you can add and remove as you please just always try and make sure you’re subscribing to at least 1000 people.

I have lot’s to say but this is getting really long for my liking already and I’ll deliver the rest another time with something else or on it’s own or maybe in a micro blog with no filler just keywords?

See you on twitter!
