Importance of Your Websites First Fold - Tips to Convert Your Readers

The first fold or page of your website is what every viewer will see regardless if they decided to stay at your website or not. Often times the speed and contents of your first fold dictate whether a new first time browser will take the time to stay at your website or just keep moving on. The internet is massive with billions of pages; if you get someone to your site it’s important to get them to stay for a while because if they don’t chances are you’ve lost them for good. Every website needs a goal. If you don’t have a goal for what will happen when someone views your site for the first time I recommend you form one. Currently my goal is to increase RSS subscribers and regular visitors / contributors.

Fantasy Office Ideas

I was thinking, I always put on music when we have people over, using my PC and all the songs on there. If I move to a house with a office, I won’t have the computer in the LR anymore. No more music- but then I thought, I could get one of those audio racks and run the wires through the wall to the office, where I would have to go to start the music but where I could guide the music to the living room to some stylishly designed shelves and such! Maybe even get a USB remote or something to change the song easily if needed!

Make It Easy To Buy From Your Site

Convincing your prospects to purchase from you is a hard job, but have you ever thought that you’re making the process twice as difficult for both parties if your prospects are convinced but don’t know how to buy from you? No matter how good you are at convincing your prospects, they won’t buy if they find the process cumbersome.

First, you will want to check that people can find your order form easily and hassle-free. You can write a clear, concise paragraph to direct your prospects to your order form so that you can minimize the chances of them getting lost. You can also reduce the chances of losing prospects by putting a prominent link to your order page from every other page on your site.

Ford Blue Oval Scholarsis holding a design competition, to get a better logo. It is sponsored by ford and you can win the Adobe Creative Suite 3 - Production Premium, $300 towards design software of choice, $150 towards design software of choice, or $50 Music download card. webtemplates.gifWebsite templates are very affordable and they save you a lot of effort and time when you want to create a new layout for your website. However, a lot of people make mistakes in the process of choosing and using a web template and end up with something that was unlike the image they had in mind. Here are some guidelines to help you avoid those mistakes.

The first obvious mistake you should be aware of is using a template that is very popular. If many people use the same template, your website will not appear unique at all and your credibility as a solid, different website will be tarnished. In other words, you will appear generic just like your next-door neighbors.
