Making No Money? This Could Be Why!

May 26, 2008 | Author: Rob | Filed under: Business Advice

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Not making much money online? Want to know why?

The reason is simple it’s because you’re lazy and running your blog like a hobby you’re sorta into. Imagine if you ran a business with the dedication you currently put towards your blog? Chances are it would fail to be profitable as well. Sound familiar?

I have a newsflash for myself and everyone. Blogging is citizen journalism. Whatever niche you’re in you’re competing with journalists. People who are really into the topic and gain satisfaction in releasing the latest and greatest news from the industry or writing in depth pieces on topics of interest to that niche. That’s where the money is at in blogging; being at the forefront of journalism online in your niche.

Why do you think so many Make Money Online blogs go nowhere?

A) because the author doesn’t make any money themselves

B) The author gets his / her “stories” from other …

Wealth Takes Work - Poverty Takes Nothing

May 15, 2008 | Author: Rob | Filed under: Business Advice

You have to accept in life that not everything is easy. You have to accept in life that if you take the path of least resistance you’ll end up in the largest pool at the end with the least options. You have to realize and accept in life that anything worth doing takes effort.

It’s sad that so many people take the “effort” to go to work everyday but don’t go that extra 2% and make a lunch or cook a dinner. I mean if you buy a coffee or two a day, buy lunch out ~5-8$+ and then when you get home have nothing in the fridge because you were too lazy the night before so tonight you’re lazy and order in or go do pickup. Does this sound familiar?

I think many people go through phases in their life; one phase is that of the beaten down path to nowhere …

Selling Your House? Have a Garage Sale

May 10, 2008 | Author: Rob | Filed under: Business Advice

Was driving home from morning coffee run and saw garage sales everywhere as it’s that time of year. Then I saw a garage sale in front of a house for sale.

If you’re selling your home you should consider having a garage sale as it brings more people to your home and makes them aware that it’s for sale. You only need to make 1 sale when it comes to selling your home so why can’t it be from the garage sale? Also if you’re smart you probably are selling it privately so advertisement where you turn a profit probably isn’t a bad idea.

That’s it really the thought came to me and I figured I should pass it on before it’s gone forever.

Affiliate Fun Times

April 24, 2008 | Author: Rob | Filed under: Business Advice

It’s weird how affiliate marketing is one of the best forms of passive income. Make a page and do some on and off site optimization today and boomshakalaka you might be getting $ while you sleep for life if your site stays active and keeps ranking for a term that people will always need to solve.

Oddly registering for affiliate programs and putting pages together is boring and maybe that is why more aren’t doing it. It’s crazy how many of us would rather work 9-5 for 40 years instead of independently for ourselves on our time own time.

In life nothing is free and you will pay for what you get. You can pay now with discipline or pay with interest many times over in the form of regret. If you don’t care about trading most of your adult life for a check then this doesn’t concern you and I …

Focus to Avoid Information Overload

April 14, 2008 | Author: Rob | Filed under: Business Advice

I believe the your success will be obtained to the degree you can focus on what’s important and implement the necessary steps to succeed. Why am I writing this on a Monday morning you ask? Simple reason is that online there is so much information that unless you focus and know what you want to do before you sit down you’ll just drift from one site to another. If you don’t focus your efforts you’ll definitely suffer from information overload which isn’t good for your psyche or productivity.

Since information is so readily available online today it’s almost become more of a curse then a blessing. Remember the days of going to a library finding 1 book on a subject; learning some presented facts then burying it to move on to other areas. Unfortunately the internet is like that which is it’s biggest pro and con. You will always find information …
