When it comes to the all to elusive goal of financial freedom; information is key!
Some of you may be scratching your head and saying I thought income and spending less than you brought in was the key? It’s a large part of the puzzle but if you aren’t managing your funds and tracking where they are going how will you ever patch up some leaks in your financial “ship”?
Knowing where your money is going, not going and how much you have at any given time are all key to being financially successful. It’s easy to spend like an idiot but still think you’re doing ok until that credit card bill or unexpected car repair smacks you into the poor house if you haven’t planned. Even if you have a huge nest egg if you spend without recourse you won’t keep it for long as chances are you had a different …
ADSDAQ- A MUST HAVE Adsense Add-on!
March 6, 2008 | Author: Rob | Filed under: Money Matters
Not too long ago someone brought up the subject of Adsdaq on my blog forum. Until then I had never heard of it. Being the curious George that I am I visited the site and loved what I saw.
This program runs as a COMPLIMENT to Adsense. Basically you can choose your cost per thousand impressions and if adsdaq has an add that can be displayed at that price it will; if not your adsense just loads up. Currently it has two formats; one of them is a full horizontal banner while the other is a full vertical skyscraper. It’s installed on the adsense on the left hand column of this blog. Chances are you’re seeing adsense but some of you will be seing the adsdaq ads. (Note this was written before I rented the site out as Run of Site; once that rental expires they WILL …
Audio Ads Affiliates Earning Commissions
February 6, 2008 | Author: Rob | Filed under: Money Matters
I’ve made several posts in the past about internet audio ads as a form of online revenue. It’s a new service and there has been lot’s of debate over audio ads as an effective non-intrusive form of web advertising. Also discussion over whether or not it would even get off the ground.
Today it began rolling out ads; 100,000 of them and some of the sites in my account served them. My account now has some change in it. I’ll report later once it’s been running for a bit. They’re going to run the same for the few days I believe according to their blog but once this is going full throttle should be interesting.
That being said it is a new service so no one has seen any physical payment yet. It’s still too new to pay but that also is a risk involved with any …
Invoice Place - Easy Invoicing and Quotes
January 21, 2008 | Author: Dave | Filed under: Money Matters
Whether your home business is centered on writing, web design or graphic design, it has one thing in common with every other business. Sooner or later, you’ll want to get paid.
While you could simply send out emails outlining what services you’ve provided and the total payment due for those services, it’s always more professional to submit an invoice for payment. There are quite a few services that exist to do specifically that, but today I want to look at one in particular: InvoicePlace.
The System
InvoicePlace has a very easy-to-use interface, allowing you to customize your invoice in whichever way you need. It tracks your previous customers, so invoicing a client in the future becomes even easier. It has an additional advantage over more traditional invoicing software since it stores your information on the InvoicePlace servers. This allows you to log into your account from any computer and work on the …
Track Spending Habits to Improve Your Finances
January 17, 2008 | Author: Rob | Filed under: Money Matters
The best way to make a decision is to get as many facts as you can and make a rational non biased analysis of the situation before deciding. Why is it that when it comes to your financial matters which are arguably one of the most important facets of life you just wing it? I say it’s important because let’s face it; we need money to live. We often sacrifice 1/3 of our day 5 days a week to work; for money; to support ourselves.
We’ve all heard of budgeting, cash flow and other buzz words but have you ever tracked your financial habits? I mean really tracked them down to the last bill. When I was in University I had a computer program and I would track every single dollar I spent unless it was change. Change didn’t matter maybe it should of but I didn’t’ bother keeping track of …
