I love my mom and I hope you do as well. Today is a special day to honor and spend time with the special woman in our lives who not only brought us into this world; but also was responsible for introducing us to so many great things in it.
Here are my Top 5 Reasons to Celebrate Mother’s Day.
1) She’s your mom you only have one and she loves you.
2) Let me restate that she’s your mom; without her you’d never of had an introduction into this world.
3) Unconditional love is something rare and special and your mother is an endless source.
4) Life is about relationships at the end of the day; why not let your biggest supporter and best friend know they matter to you?
5) Great way to build more memorable experiences together to be remembered forever. You can do things any day but anything on Mother’s Day is …
Blog Hosting Recommendations Affiliate Page
April 24, 2008 | Author: Rob | Filed under: What I am Doing
Yep Yep, I spent the morning before work building a blog hosting affiliate page and chatting on twitter.
The micro-blogger is here. I much prefer these constant small updates over long “authoritative” bloggeries. So I woke up at 6AM, got some Tim Horton’s coffee and a breakfast sandwich and made the blog hosting page I linked to above.
It’s bare bones but… It’s up! I’ve never known ANYONE to make a sale with a page that wasn’t up. I will probably add more hosts and add some type of reviews in the future maybe but for now it’s good. I also added it into the navigation of the site so people can find it. It’s under Resources which isn’t the best place for visibility. It’s good but not the best but I can’t justify giving it a better spot at the moment. Time will tell and who knows where this …
Who Cares About Gas Prices?
March 28, 2008 | Author: Rob | Filed under: What I am Doing
Bit of a Friday Rant here. I’m just sick of everyone complaining about gas prices. Nothing like waiting in line to pay $1.50-$3 for ~500ML of coffee while hearing people cry about gasoline being $1.10 a litre. Who cares?
It’s like on th golf course people with a cigarette in their mouth stalling the game looking for a $0.25-$0.50 shag ball. Who cares?
I mean sure gasoline prices suck and you may get less for your money but why cry about it? You’re going to buy it anyways and typically inelastic goods can charge as much as they want because consumption won’t really be affected.
Anyone else feel the same way I do and say “Who cares about Gas Prices!?” I’m still going to drive to work, to my friends, to get groceries and of course golfing so why stress about it!?
A Little PR Love - Works For Me!
March 15, 2008 | Author: Rob | Filed under: What I am Doing
I bought this blog in November as many of you may remember. About 3-4 days after I finished purchasing; it was slapped with a PR 0 or N/A from Page Rank 4. I wrote a post about it and received quite a bit of criticism; predominantly from other active Pay Per Post users who condemned me for stating the fact this blog lost it’s PR was due to the previous owner openly using that and similar services. Can’t say I was surprised with the uproar though… People always try and protect their income streams.
About 24 hours ago I was checking this blog from a hotel room and sure enough I saw some page rank. It’s only a page rank 2 which doesn’t seem accurate but at least it is a step in the right direction! This has given me some incentive to see what else I can do and …
Think Niche Opposed to Big
March 5, 2008 | Author: Rob | Filed under: What I am Doing
I used to always think if you wanted to make money online you needed to build a big resource site. If you take shopping I thought I would need to design some large site that encompassed everything. I was wrong.
You don’t need to build a huge web presence to make money online. In fact making money online has never been easier in my opinion. How many people are trusting enough to do business online via credit card in 2008 compared to say 2000? I don’t have the statistics but I believe it a fair assumption to say many more.
Ebay has a great affiliate program and so does Amazon and other companies of the like. Did you know that ebay gives 50-75% of commission for anyone you refer through your site who wins an auction? Did you also know that it provides you with $25-$35 per new user signup? Build a …
