Loose lips sink ships, my father used to always say that. When it came to protecting data and us, my dad was on the ball, he kept all of his files in a locked firebox, inside of a locked file, inside of a locked closet! LOL He did not take chances, of course he had a ton of rare coins to keep too. Well, with todays technology, keeping things secure is pretty difficult. But they have ZIP programs, like the free one from www.securezip.com to help combat that problem.
I just went and downloaded the free enterprise edition, all you have to do is enter your email address, and I now have the ability to securely zip up sensitive files before I sent them via email, burn them to a disk, or even just store them. That is a great thing for me and my …

In web design, PHP is a very valuble code to know. In order to put yourself above and beyond your competition you need to have some sort of PHP trainingyou can get this through in-classroom training, like at the linked site OTG, or even through web based training through various places. OTG offers classroom based training at Morrisville, NC for only 2095 with airfare, hotel, and shuttle services, it is a 4 day course and well worth it to invest in your business. If I had that much in savings I would do it in a heartbeat as I learn better in a classroom. They also offer it for only 1745 for the course and materials only, good for those of you that may live nearby. It is a great opportunity, as alot is done with PHP, wordpress is using PHP, websites, shopping carts, and more. …
Using Google Analytics

I have been using Google Analytics for a while now, almost a year I think, but I have only really been using a few parts of it, there is soooo much wasted data there that I just do not get. I tried the support forums but all I got were others that didn’t know and a bunch of recommendations to various google analytics consultants. I think it is a decent thing to do if you are selling things online, I mean the data is free and really valuable in getting more visitors and targeting. I personally don’t really need to pay anyone for anything, I mean I don’t sell anything, or make any real money from this site, but who knows, I may need it when I start the web design site I have been thinking of.

When I am working with a client that is starting a business, one of the main things I want to help with, other than the website, is the business image, making sure that when a customer to the website looks for contact information that they see a valid address, phone number, etc. With some home business though, you do not want to put your home address, it is a safety measure, well this answering service company is helping you to provide an actual address, phone number and of course someone to answer that phone for you, at low rates, they are targeted to home businesses that need a proper way to show their address and phone number. And allow customers to contact your business while you are at dinner with your family. Check it out to see if it is right for your business. Having the right image …
